Stopped by with my son. When the kids are grown and can drink, it's nice to use Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a sense of Family restaurant, huh? No, it's not. There are several Harutaya bars in the Shinjuku - Nerima - Kiyose area of Tokyo restaurant, but Akatsuka Harutaya is one of our neighbors Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that we keep coming back to because the service is just so good. It is always a pleasant place to go! I went in right after the opening so I had the place to myself, but in the latter half of the day it was full of customers from one person to a group! The menu mainly consists of yakiton and Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) items, all of which are reasonably priced and usually delicious. I was able to talk with my son for the first time in a while. We will be back again!
