2022年3月某日の12時頃に訪ねた。
田端駅から徒歩10分ほどの場所にあるとんかつの店「わらしっ子」。
入店して2階に上がる。程好い広さの店内は7割方客で埋まっていた。
テーブル席と座敷席があるが、座敷席に案内される。
1人で座敷席に座り、ランチメニューを眺めてから「Bランチ（お刺身とひれ一口が3個）」¥800を注文。
10分ほど待って提供される。
たっぷりのキャベツが添えられた一口ヒレカツにブリの刺身、ご飯、味噌汁、漬物の組み合わせ。見た目から豪華なランチ。
とんかつソースをかけてヒレカツを味わう。程好い柔らかさでクセの無い豚肉を味わえる。キャベツの千切りも良い細さでカツに合っている。
厚みのあるブリの切身もご飯のおかずとして程好い。食べ応えのある刺身が付いているという喜びがそこにある。
白飯を中心にソースをかけたカツ、ブリの刺身を味わう。味噌汁、漬物も良いクオリティで800円とは思えない定食が楽しめる。
完食すると程好い満腹感。カツと刺身が一緒に楽しめるランチを提供する「わらしっ子」。とんかつだけではないランチメニューが揃っているのも嬉しい。
駅から離れた場所にあるが、定期的に訪ねたい良い店。
