巣鴨のアジア料理屋。
巣鴨と言えば、言わずと知れた「プルジャダイニング」という名店があるが、その近くにあるのが、こちらの店舗だ。
やはり心配なのが名店の近くで同じアジア料理屋を開いて経営が成り立つのか?という事だが、そもそもこちらはなんでもありのアジア料理レストランで「プルジャダイニング」とはメニューが全然違うのだ。
ナン+カレーの定番インネパセットだけではなく、フォーやガパオがランチメニューに登場している。なんとベトナム料理からタイ料理まで用意されているのだ。
また店内はカフェ風で清潔感があり、女性のお一人様や、アジア料理店には普段行かないような、初々しい高校生カップルも来店していた。
「プルジャダイニング」とは客層が被らないのだ。
それはさておき、カレー+ナンやダルバートなんて人生で日常的に食べているので、ここでは冒険メニューの「ガパオライス」を注文した。
ちなみに他の食べログレビューで散見されるトッピングを付け足す「カレーライス」はメニューに無かったため、止めたのかもしれない。
ちなみにメニュー表は外税表記なので、後ほど税金が加算されての会計となるので要注意だ。
提供されたのはサラダ、ガパオライス、スープ。そして選べるドリンクはアイスチャイを注文。既製品のガムシロップで甘さを調節するタイプだ。
ガパオライスは甘辛で、タイのものとはなんだか違う。確かに見た目はガパオなのだが、これはオリジナルの創作料理のような印象だ。
美味しいのだが、アラカルトで何品か頼んだ中の1品として欲しい感じで、ランチの主役としては少し役不足だ。
食べてはいないけれど、やはり「ダルバート」辺りがランチメニューとしては手堅いのではないだろうか?800円とリーズナブルだが、大久保価格に慣れると300円高いと思ってしまうのだから、慣れとは怖いものだ。
ただ食べやすい味付け、入りやすい店の雰囲気で、「アジア料理とは如何なるものか?」と考えているライトユーザーが、気軽に異国の料理を経験するには良い店だと思った。
家の近くにあったら肩ひじ張らずに使えるであろう良店。
