２０１４年１月下旬。
昨日は、公休日。午前中に整形外科で首痛のリハビリ。午後からは、１週間振りに田端にあるフィットネスジム「メガロス田端」でトレーニング。昨年は、１年間で１回しかトレーニングをしない体たらく。今年は、既に２回目だ。３月の人間ドック、定年後を見据えて、体調を整えなければと２時間ほど頑張る。
その後、田端駅そばの「ホテルメッツ田端」３階にある「プロントホテルメッツ田端店」の前を通ったら美味しそうな「ストロベリーチョコレートモカ」４３０円の看板が出ていた。この誘惑に耐え切れず、入って注文。アイスとホットがあるが、私は、アイスでいただいた。店内は、禁煙席と奥に喫煙席。こちらは、以前、別のレストランが入っていたが、プロントに変わった。禁煙席は、ほぼ満席。喫煙席は、ガラガラ。「アイスストロベリーチョコレートモカ」は、期待通り、美味しかった。運動後に、これでは、先が思いやられるが、まあ、良しとする。
