2023年4月某日の20時過ぎに訪ねた。
巣鴨駅から徒歩2,3分の場所にある中華ダイニング「1833」。
程好い広さの店内には先客4名。
広めのテーブル席に1人で座る。メニューをしばし眺めてからドリンクに「永昌源 紹興加飯酒かめ（グラス）」¥600を注文し、料理をリクエストする。
ロックで飲んだ紹興酒はクセが無く、スッキリとした後味で飲みやすい。
揚州チャーハン ¥1,200：真ん中に海老が乗った揚州チャーハンは、チャーシュー、キュウリ、玉子、ネギを具材としたチャーハン。程好く水分を含みながらもパラッとした仕上がりのチャーハン。塩気も絶妙で、プロの技が感じられる一品。キュウリのアクセントが良い感じで、玉子の優しい味わいで良い塩梅になっている。海老の必要性は感じなかったが、上質なチャーハンをしっかり満喫した。ここにスープが付いてくると尚良い。
特製ハルビン焼餃子 ¥680：良い焼き加減の餃子が6個皿に乗っている。酢と胡椒でタレを作って食べてみると、実に良い味わい。餡と皮が見事な焼餃子。ジューシーで味わい深い餡がモチモチの皮で包まれている。酢胡椒に醤油を垂らして食べてみると、更に美味しく味わえる。紹興酒とハイクオリティな焼餃子の組み合わせで幸せな気分になる。
日本人ではなく本場の料理人が腕を振るった中華料理が楽しめる「1833」。妙な油っぽさも感じない良い大陸系中華料理を味わうには良い店。
店内の落ち着く雰囲気も個人的には嬉しい。値段も驚くほど高くはない設定で、巣鴨エリアにおいて安心して利用出来る中華ダイニングの「1833」であった。
