牡蠣好きの人とご飯を食べるので見つけた大塚の居酒屋「麦酒庵 大塚店」。オイスターバーでもありビアバーでもあるらしいが、その名に恥じない多数のクラフトビールと牡蠣が揃ってる。
まずは和歌山のナギサビールで喉を湿らせつつ生牡蠣を所望。お勧め3つとかでも頼めるというので出してもらったのが北海道サロマ湖、兵庫県たつの、千葉県富津。
で、ここからが面白く「よろしければ牡蠣に合わせる日本酒を出すので、食べつつ飲んで味の変化をお楽しみください」ときたもんだ。そんなん楽しむに決まってるじゃん。
それで出てきた滋賀県の大治郎というのを飲み、牡蠣を食べ、飲む。うお、本当に酒の味が変わる！楽しい！特にたつのの牡蠣の後に変化が顕著で、割とスッキリ感じていた味が、メロンを食べたような甘い果実味を感じるようになって、驚くやら感心するやら。面白ー。
その後も山椒しめじ、牡蠣味噌きゅうり、牡蠣のオリーブオイル漬け（麻辣味）、有頭赤海老の沖漬けなんかをいただきつつ、様々な日本酒を合わせていただく。
基本的に日本酒メニューはなく、お店の人に味の好みや料理に合うものを出してもらうスタイルだが、お話しするほどにお店の方の日本酒マニアっぷりが感じられて、めちゃくちゃ楽しい。勧められるままに飲んでしまうなー。
お陰で後半は酩酊気味にて、頼んだものやその味の記憶が少し曖昧だが（写真もブレブレだが）、蒸し牡蠣がやはり日本酒と合わせて面白かったのと、〆の牡蠣わっぱ飯と牡蠣出汁自家製ラーメンはめちゃ美味だった。牡蠣の旨味がふんだんに詰まって、大袈裟に言うと快楽的ですらある。
よく食べよく飲んだので割といいお値段にもなったが、フランクなお店の方と話しながら酒と牡蠣とつまみとを旅する感じの一席。楽しく美味しい時間だった。
