2019年10月某日の13時過ぎに訪ねた。
王子駅を出て徒歩3分ほどの場所にある「桂園 王子店」。
店内には先客2,3名。
テーブル席に座る。
豊富なメニューの「桂園」だが、この日は日替わり定食の「カレー炒飯セット」¥680を注文。
5分ほど待って提供される。
カレー炒飯、麻婆豆腐、スープ、ザーサイ、杏仁豆腐のセット。
見た感じボリュームがそれなりにあってお得感がある。
カレー炒飯は特筆すべきものではないが、パラパラ感が良い塩梅。具材は寂しいが、カレー粉の配分は丁度良く味付けは中々良い。
麻婆豆腐も山椒の風味が仄かに効いて、本場のテイストを醸し出している。
格別に美味しいというわけでは無いが、満足できるクオリティの定食を提供している。
ザーサイもカレー炒飯の良いアクセントになっている。
スープは優しい味で悪くない。
杏仁豆腐は量が多いが味はイマイチ。クオリティ改善に努めて欲しい。
立地的には駅から近くて使い勝手の良い店。夜の利用にも便利。たまに使う分には良い。
