As it is the end of the fiscal year, my wife is having a farewell party at work, so I am enjoying a day of solitary gourmet food. On the way home, I got off the train at Oji and went to Matsuya. There is a Matsuya in front of my local station, but I came all the way to this restaurant because I wanted to try the "Hamburg steak with chimichurri sauce set meal" that was featured on Rocket News. https://rocketnews24.com/2024/03/21/2193362/?appsule=1 This is also a menu that is only available in 70 restaurant as a test sale, and on my way home, I looked up the store that seemed to be closest to my house, and found that this restaurant was the one I had chosen. When I went inside the store, I bought a ticket for the "Hamburg steak with egg chimichurri sauce set meal (880 yen)" from the ticket machine. That would have been fine, but I was tricked by the ticket machine's invitation to try another dish, so I also bought a ticket for "Pickled vegetables (90 yen)". I don't really like the "Oshinchuri" from Matsuya, although I do like the ones from Yoshinoya. So, after a while, the "Egg Chimichurri Sauce Hamburg Set Meal" and "Oshinchuri" were ready and I received them. Looking at them, I noticed that the thing that looks like chili oil surrounding Hamburg is apparently "chimichurri sauce" which originated in Argentina in South America. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshinchuri_Sauce When I tried it, it was just as spicy as it looks, but since the base is Hamburg, I was able to eat it without any discomfort, and it went down so well with my rice that I wondered if I should have ordered a large portion. By the way, pouring the remaining sauce over rice is a familiar trick, but although I didn't really like this "chimichurri sauce" when I had it with Hamburg sauce, when I ate it by itself, it had a very Ethnic Cuisine sourness to it. Hmm, this part is a bit strange for me... https://ameblo.jp/captainsolo/entry-12845815266.html
