東京都北区・JR王子駅東口周辺には、柳小路商店街なる商店街がございます。
戦後の闇市をルーツとする昭和臭い空間で、チェーン店が多い付近の王子銀座商店街とは、かなり雰囲気が違います。
というか、立ち寄りにくい。隣にある複合商業施設「サンスクエア王子」の方は家族連れが多いですが、こちらの商店街を歩く人は、おっさんおばさんばかりな印象です。
今回は、そんな柳小路商店街の一角にあるカフェ「王子珈琲焙煎所サクラピアス」に行ってまいりました。
冒頭で柳小路商店街の異質さを陳述しておいて何ですが、この「サクラピアス」については、明るくて今風な雰囲気です。
このオシャレなスタンスのお店がなぜあえて柳小路商店街に出店しようと思ったのか、ただただ謎でなりません。
席数は少ないと見せかけて、1階だけでなく2階にも客席があるみたい。ただ、2階は喫煙席のようです。
私は、「コールドブリュー」（税込500円）をテイクアウトで購入。最も安価なドリンクの一つで、つまるところアイスコーヒーです。
すっきりとして飲みやすく、良い感じです。
焙煎所を名乗るだけあり、クオリティには信頼がおけるお店だと感じました。
