赤羽駅から赤羽スズラン通り方面に少し歩いた場所にお店を構えるハトポッポ。
赤羽岩淵駅が最寄駅にあたる町中華のお店です。
外観の佇まいが理想の町中華そのものでした。
This is 町中華。
店内はとても味がある昭和レトロな雰囲気。
こんなお店に来てみたかったと思っていたので気持ちが高鳴ります。
焼きそばは3種類ある中から海老をオーダー。
辛子がとても気になりましたが、初めて足を運んだので冒険する勇気がなく無難な海老をオーダー。
年期の入った厨房でご主人が手慣れた手つきで焼き上げていく。
この過程をカウンターで目の前で見られるのはとても嬉しい。
決してライブ感を演出したいわけではないと思いますが、お店の歴史を噛み締めながら眺めるこの瞬間が好きなのだ。
何十回、何百回と鍋を振ったであろう焼きそば。
麺は僕好みの少しカリッとする焼き加減。
大量の野菜とコーティングされた餡掛けがとても艶やかな焼きそば。
こんなん、見た瞬間から旨いに決まっとるやん。笑
火入れの加減も見事で、麺の一本一本に魂が宿っているような焼きそばでした。
長めの麺をすすりながら豪快に喰らいました。
変に油っこくなく見事にコーティングされているような完成具合もお見事。
