I visited after 11 o'clock on a certain day in June 2022. Hamanoie is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located about 7-8 minutes walk from Akabane Station. There were no customers in the not-so-large store. I came here because I was curious about the variety of lunch menus. I sat alone at the counter and ordered ``Stewed Cow tongue with Hayashi Rice'' for ¥950. The food is served after about 7 or 8 minutes. Beautiful-looking hayashi rice comes with salad and miso soup. Try the hayashi rice topped with fresh cream. The hayashi sauce, which has the presence of Cow tongue, has a slightly strong taste, but it has a good sweetness and sourness. You can feel the flavor of the vegetables and meat, and the rice goes well with it. The snow peas on top of the rice give a nice refreshing aftertaste. Enjoy the hayashi rice while nibbling on the salad and sipping on the miso soup. Therein lies the joy of being able to enjoy a Western-Western Cuisine that is not typical of Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Akabane. I finished the meal with a good balance between the moderately firm rice, hayashi sauce, and stewed Cow tongue. It had a good volume. The price setting of 950 yen gives me the impression that it is neither expensive nor cheap. Hamanoya is a restaurant where you can enjoy meat and fish lunches. It was a store that I would want to use regularly.
