2022年5月のとある休日の11時過ぎに訪ねた。
赤羽駅から徒歩5分ほどの場所にあるシーフード＆スペインバル「Azul」。
程好い広さの店内には先客2名。
テーブル席に1人で座り、ランチメニューをしばし眺めてから「ハーブチキンとキノコのパエリア」¥1,100を注文した。
まずはスープとサラダが提供される。
程好い旨味のコンソメスープに食べ応えのある量で楽しめるサラダ。アーモンドの香ばしさが心地好いサラダはドレッシングの量も適切で良い味。
スープとサラダが食べ終わる頃にパエリアがやって来る。
程好いサイズ感の鉄鍋で提供される。大きめにカットされたチキンにキノコ、パプリカ、ほうれん草などを合わせたパエリア。まずはレモンを絞って食べる準備をする。
チキン、キノコと共に米を食べる。しっかりと旨味を吸収した米が実に良い。コクがありながら硬めの食感の米の美味しさが堪らない。
しっかりと食べ応えのあるパエリアを味わう。パプリカの甘みも活きている。肉と野菜のバランスが非常に良いので食べていて飽きない。
パエリアを完食すると程好い満腹感。スープとサラダが付いて1,100円というのはかなりお得感がある。
気軽にパエリアランチが食べられる存在が赤羽にあるというのは嬉しい限り。次回は海鮮食材のパエリアを食べてみたいと思う「Azul」であった。
