（今は熊の前に移転されているようですが移転前の四谷三丁目での話です）
仕事で四谷三丁目に来ており、昼食は天ぷらが食べたいと思ってインターネットで検索しました。
「天ぷら 山の井」というお店が四谷三丁目に近い荒木町にあることが分かり、早速行ってきました。お店に着くと、開店時間の11時45分少し前。暖簾が出ていましたので入ると、私がその日一番の客でした。
カウンターに座り、注文しようとすると店主さんから「今日は天丼と定食しかやっていないのですよ、すいません」と言われました。「かき揚げを食べてみたかったのですが残念ですが仕方ありません」ということで定食を頼みました。
天ぷらはあっさりとして本当に美味しかったですね。びっくりしました。私がお店に入った後に、合計6人ほどのお客さんが来ましたが皆さん定食を頼んでいたようです。全員の天ぷらを揚げて客に出した後、店主さんに少し時間が出来たようで、私に「お客さん、先程言っていたかき揚げ今でしたら出来ますよ」との優しいお言葉。
「お願いします」と頼みました。かき揚げも絶品、美味しかったです。
食事もさることながら、こういった店主さんの心遣いが非常に嬉しいですね。
今度は機会を見つけて夜に行ってみよう。
