2022.11.23 (Wednesday, holiday) Rain, first visit, 13:55, 8 customers ahead, 0 customers behind, served at 14:07 Vegetable tanmen + half fried rice: 830 yen (for some reason, 10% off at the time of payment, 747 yen!) It's a holiday, but I'm working. (And tonight is the World Cup match between Japan and Germany...) Before going to work, I get off at the nearest station and head to the restaurant. There is a menu outside the restaurant, and I check the presence of "Vegetable tanmen + half fried rice 830 yen" and enter the restaurant. When I enter the restaurant, a female staff member of mainland China urges me to an empty four-seater table and I sit down. I order when the cold water is placed. The cold water is pu-erh tea, which is cold and has a slight bitterness and a refreshing aftertaste. The table is equipped with soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and ramen pepper. A suspense drama from TV Asahi was playing on the TV. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the food was served on a tray. Vegetable Tanmen The noodles are yellowish, shiny, curly, thin noodles. They are boiled to a soft degree. They are soft when chewed, but supple and easy to swallow. Ingredients: pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, chives, komatsuna, shiitake mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms Pork and vegetable ingredients are fried and then simmered in soup for a long time before being finished. The pork is thinly sliced shoulder loin. The surface is coated with potato starch, so it feels good on the tongue. The meat was soft and delicious. Vegetables such as cabbage are boiled thoroughly, so they are soft and chewy. The amount of vegetables is about 200g, which is neither too much nor too little. The shiitake mushrooms have a good aroma and a chewy texture. The wood ear mushrooms have a slightly less chewy and soft texture. The soup is cloudy and salty. The broth is mainly made of pork bones, chicken bones, aromatic vegetables, and dried foods. The flavor was also fully felt with the addition of artificial seasonings. Also, dried ingredients such as dried shiitake mushrooms were added, which gave the dish a deep flavor... The saltiness was a little strong. The oil content was moderate and the dish had a nice richness. I ate all the noodles and ingredients. For health reasons, I left about half of the soup. Half fried rice It is not pre-made, but is made after an order is placed. The ingredients consist of ham, eggs, and carrots. It was warm and slightly moist. It was seasoned simply with salt, chemical seasonings, and powdered pepper, but it was delicious. Almond tofu It was sweet and slightly rich, and delicious. The fruit was canned, with small pieces of white peach, pear, and pineapple on top. When I paid, I thought it would be 830 yen plus tax, but it was 10% off from 830 yen, so it was only 747 yen! I left the restaurant feeling like I had gotten a little better. Overall It is a mainland Chinese restaurant, but is it made with Japanese people in mind? The noodles were soft, and I personally prefer them to be a little firmer. The ingredients, such as vegetables, were satisfactory. The soup was also quite good. The service was brusque, typical of mainland Chinese restaurants. The cleanliness of the restaurant was reasonable. Also, the billing system of 10% off from 830 yen is a mystery. Thank you for the meal.
