打ち合わせの前に食べていこうと考えた。
大きな交差点の広い歩道、そこに面したお店、入り口入った右手側に食券機があった。
揚げたての天ぷらが名物のお店、なにか天ぷらが乗っているそばを食べようと考えていた。春菊天には×がついていて、かき揚げでもいいかなと思うものの、ゲソ天を選んでみた。普段あまり食べないゲソ天。
店内はアクリル板でセパレートされた椅子席と立ち席のカウンターがある。食券を提示し、立ち席で待つことにした。
ゲソ天そばのできあがり。
コシが強い細いそば、甘いつゆをよく絡める。一本一本の存在感があって、その舌触りが心地いい。
揚げたてのゲソ天、たっぷりのつゆに浮かんでいる。つゆでひたひたになる前に一口食べてみる。コリッとしたゲソ、からりとした衣。
衣はほぐれやすく、つゆですぐに柔らかくなるので、最初に一口かりっとやるといいと思う。
