町屋駅近くの都電通り沿いにある喫茶「ファントム」は1977年オープンで2022年で45年目。
喫茶というよりも洋食屋と言えそうなくらいのフードメニューの充実ぶりたが、1番の特徴はモーニングセット。
400円のブレンドコーヒーに+100円でトースト1枚、サラダ、マカロニ、ハムエッグオレンジの1プレート付き。
見方を変えれば500円のモーニングセットとも言えるがそれでも、内容を考慮すれば格安。
コーヒー単品で400円ならば、セットにしない手はない。朝から十分お腹を満してくれるボリューム。値上げニュースばかりの流れの中、この価格で大丈夫なのか、心配になってしまう。
開店から暫くはモーニング目当てのお客で席は埋まり、オーナーさんと常連さんの会話も地元密着型喫茶を印象づける平和な風景。
エルビスプレスリーのグッズとBGM一色の個性的な喫茶で食べているだけで楽しい。
