2019年3月のとある休日の17時過ぎに訪ねた。
町屋駅を出て徒歩1,2分ほどの場所にある「天丼てんや 町屋店」。
つまみは程々に軽く飲みたい。且つリーズナブルに、という時に「てんや」が視界に入った。
比較的広い店内には先客5,6名ほど。
カウンター席に1人で座り「天ぷら&日本酒セット」¥630と「ほうれん草のおひたし」¥100を注文。
まずは日本酒がやって来る。月桂冠の上撰。ストロングスタイルの日本酒を味わう。
ほうれん草のおひたしも提供される。醤油をかけて食べる。日本酒のアテとしては悪くない。これが100円で出てくるのは嬉しい。
卓上にあるガリッシュなる寿司屋のガリ的なものを小皿に取って日本酒に合わせるのも良し。ビールのアテだとガリは微妙だが、日本酒だと良い塩梅。
そうこうしている内に天ぷらがやって来る。天つゆと大根おろし、おろし生姜も付いてくる。海老、いか、れんこん、オクラの天ぷら4種。クセの無いてんやのいつもの天ぷらを堪能。
特に海老の天ぷらを食べると嬉しい気持ちになる。海老の大きさも衣とのバランスも絶妙。
卓上に置いてある唐辛子もやげん堀の七味唐辛子。天ぷらに良く合っている。
日本酒と天ぷらにちょっとしたつまみで1,000円以内に収まる。てんやのチョイ飲みは満足度が高い。マダムな感じの店員さんのおせっかい気味な接客も嫌いじゃない。
