新三河島から100円バスで熊野前まで。その途中、夕方早くからやっているお好み焼屋さんがありました。そこにはホッピーのちょうちんも。
来たい衝動に駆られて、その半月ほどあとの日曜日に訪問しました。
やはり夕方3時半には開店しており、道路に向かって勢いよく吐き出されるもつ焼きの煙が部活帰りの少年たちを包みます。「うまそうでやベェ」。
そうそう、お前らもこの煙を浴びたが最後、荒川区の飲兵衛となるのだ！
店にはいると既に常連さんが2名。4席ほどのカウンターと小さなテーブル1卓。
これだけをみるとどこでお好み焼きをやるのか不思議になりますが、奥にきちんとお座敷があるというわけ。
お店は焼台の大将にオカミサン。見知らぬ客に少し戸惑いながらも丁寧に対応くださり安心です。
生をもらい、もつ焼きを何本か頼みます。
お通しはたっぷりポテサラ。素晴らしい！グルメの荒川区。
もつ焼きは素晴らしいスピードで提供されます。
通りの小窓からおみやげの主婦がちょっと世間話をして帰る。やっぱりテンポがヒケツなのでしょう。
しばらくすると運動帰りの中年男女が続々と来店。こりゃ人気の店だわ。
