東京メトロ日比谷線南千住駅より歩く事数分、日光街道南千住交差点
近くにあるタイ料理レストラン「SOL BANGKOK」。
8月下旬の夜に初めて訪れました。
こちら今週Newオープンしたばかりのお店です。
やや中華感もある賑やかな内装の店内はNewオープンな
だけあり、何やら初々しさを感じます。お店は4人ほどで
切り盛りされていて、ホールは日本人男性が丁寧な接客
をされていて好印象でした。
店内はテーブル席が約30席程の広さ。
私は2人掛けテーブル席へと案内されました。
先ずは「ウーロンハイ」(470円)片手に卓上のメニューを拝見。
この日は
「フライドガーリックポーク」(880円)
「ネーム」(880円)
をオーダーしました。
「フライドガーリックポーク(ムートーット)」は軽く油で揚げた
豚肉料理です。ポークジャーキーのような食感とニンニクが
とても効いているので、お酒のお供にピッタリ！ウーロンハイが
あっという間に空いてお替りしちゃいました。
「ネーム」とはタイ東北部チェンマイ地方の名物腸詰調理で
発酵させた酸味のあるソーセージ（ネーム）と横に添えられた
刻みチリ、生姜、タマネギ、ピーナッツなどを合わせていただきます。
ソーセージの酸っぱさとチリ、生姜、玉葱、ピーナッツの相性が良く
それぞれの味と食感が楽しくてこれまたお酒がグイグイ進みました。
ここで私が初めて訪れたタイ料理屋でお店の料理を図るための
指標にしている「ソムタム(青パパイヤサラダ)」(980円)を
メニューには無かったけど聞いたら出来ますって事で辛めで
オーダーしました。「ソムタム」とはタイ現地のソウルフード
とも言えるサラダで、細切りの青パパイヤに辛い・酢っぱい
・しょっぱい味付けがされたサラダ料理です。頂いてみると
辛さに強い自分的にはまだまだ辛くてもイケるくらいのピリ
辛さでしたが、パパイヤのシャキシャキ感やタレが美味しい
ソムタムでした。
この日は「緑茶ハイ」(470円)を一杯お替りしてお勘定しました。
