★Opening August 1st★ Kitasenju Yakitori Izakaya [Iianbai]
A yakitori izakaya where you can enjoy fresh chicken from Kyushu, ground that morning. The restaurant is proud of its relaxing atmosphere and fresh chicken ground that morning. We have everything from |
Iianbai is Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that serves fresh Kyushu chicken that is ground that morning, about a 3-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kitasenju Station. It boasts a relaxing atmosphere and fresh chicken that is ground that morning. It has everything from counter seats to spacious sunken kotatsu tables. It's a little hard to find, but it's a hidden spot, so it can be used for a wide range of occasions, such as dates, girls' nights, and business dinners. To get there, walk from the west exit along the station street toward National Route 4 (Nikko Kaido), then turn left on the road between Family Mart and Katsuya. It's past Yacha Bar and Eizushi Kitasenju Branch, and past the temple gravestones. It is operated by K&J Enterprises, which also owns Wasabi in Kitasenju. I went to Wasabi a long time ago, but I didn't have a very good impression. When I went there around 6pm on a weekend, the 60-seat restaurant was empty. It's a big place, so if you get stuck at a bar next to it, this might be a good place to go. When I said I was alone, I was guided to a counter seat. On the partition in front of me was a sign that read "Evening Drink Set for One Person Only *Open until 7pm". I asked if it was okay to have it on Saturdays, and they said it was. *Evening Drink Set for One Person Only 1,500 yen Open until 7pm. Drinks are Hoppy and two medium glasses, or two glasses of draft beer, highball, Chuhai (Shochu cocktail), plum wine, etc. The three appetizers are Small dish, three skewers of selection Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and one of the following Fried food dishes: ham cutlet, minced meat, or chicken wing Gyoza / Dumpling. I chose Hoppy for my drink. The inside was standard, and Small dish was maca salad. Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was chicken thigh, gizzard, and thigh. The minced meat was freshly fried and hot, which went well with Hoppy. The total price for each dish is 1,410 yen excluding Small dish, so it's a good deal for the appetizer. Draft beer is 583 yen, so two glasses of this might be the winning formula. *Oyama Chicken Tender Breast Meat 638 yen *Naka 220 yen You can choose between ponzu sauce or bang bang chicken, so I chose ponzu. Two medium glasses were not enough, so I ordered another. The low-temperature cooking of the breast meat was a bit off, and I couldn't taste the deliciousness of the Oyama Chicken. As for alcohol, a medium bottle of beer (500ml) is on the expensive side at 636 yen. If you want to drink cheaply, I recommend going alone by yourself before 7pm and using the set menu, or if you have a group of four or more, I recommend the all-you-can-drink course. Bottles start at 2,200 yen for ginro, but the discounts are high, with ice at 275 yen and water at 330 yen. If you visit with two or three people, you'll only be disappointed, so be careful if you're on a date. When I paid, they gave me a receipt with an itemized breakdown.
