マンゴーツリーと言えばタイ料理の高級店。
コカレストランの上位だが、マンゴーツリーデリやマンゴーツリーカフェで一般的なイメージに変わった。
久しぶりに立ち寄ったルミネ北千住はテナントがガラッと変わっていた。北千住のタイ料理と言えばライカノだがいつも混んでいる。マンゴーツリーデリのメニューは無い、グリーンカレーコロッケやタイ風唐揚げが美味しいのだけど。今回は海老のグリーンカレーを注文、メニューは女性を意識したのか、色々少しずつ味わえるセットが設定されている。客層も女性が殆ど。
ライスはジャスミンライス、香りはあるがぬるい。海老のグリーンカレーは金属の容器。グリーンカレーは野菜たっぷり、茄子、ブロッコリー、パプリカ、インゲンなど彩りも良い。だが、結構甘い、辛味はそこそこ。
グリーンカレーはゲーンキャオワーンと言い、ワーンは甘いと言う意味だが今まで食べたゲーンキャオワーンの中でもダントツに甘い。不思議とココナッツミルクの風味が薄い気がする。色々少しずつ味わえるセットの方が楽しめると思う。
