北千住の丸井の9階にあるベーカリーレストランサンマルク。
都内でよく見かけるサンマルクカフェとは異なり、洋食を食べることができる。
予約しておいて正解。日曜日のランチということで、やはり混雑していた。
入店する際、食事が出てくるのが遅いので、もう食べませんという客がいたので、もしかしたらスタッフ不足のため我々も相当待たされるのではないかという不安。
さて、席に案内されメニューを渡される。
メニューを見ると、ホームページの内容とは大きく異なり、
ハーフコースランチが無いことが判明。
無いものに対してどうこう言ったところで意味はないので、
ハンギングテンダーステーキ トリュフソース ラタトゥイユとグラタン風 北海道産じゃがいもを添えての200gを注文。
合わせるワインは、プーリア・ロッソ。
その他、お子様ハンバーグ＆チキン、若鶏のグリルラザニア風濃厚チーズを注文。
ワインがなかなか来ない。やっぱりこの店やばいのかなと思って、パンを取りに行く際、厨房をチラ見。若いバイトの女の子が一生懸命抜栓している。この様子を見ると、逆に頑張れと応援してしまった。
約10分後、ワインが到着。安いワインではるが、上品な味わい。これは正解だ。
次に、ハンギングテンダーステーキ。
外国産の牛肉ではあるが、柔らかい。筋もほとんどなく2,500円程度とは破格である。また、ソースも2種あり飽きさせない。また、ワインとの相性も最高である。
入店時の印象が悪かった分、逆に料理の美味しさ、頑張っているバイトの子の姿勢などを高く評価する。
