週末は昼から楽しめる : Okinawa Shouten Shimura

<Revisit in February 2024> 5-6 minutes walk from the west exit of Kitasenju Station. . . This is an Okinawan Cuisine restaurant located along Honcho Street. Even after my last review, I fell in love with it and have been using it often with my local drinking friends. I heard that they are open for lunch only on weekdays, but on Saturdays and Sundays, so this is my review from when I went there for lunch the other day. I entered the store after 1pm on a certain weekday. . . There were quite a few customers enjoying lunch only, but there was plenty of room at the counter, so I was able to enter without having to wait. [Order details] - Orion IPA (980 yen) - Cheese taco rice (900 yen) Since it was a holiday, I naturally wanted beer. . . I'll have an IPA, the first Okinawan local beer I've ever heard of here. . . I stirred up a lot and went straight into my home mode lol Even though it's open for lunch, the menu is exactly the same as at night. . . I know that a la carte dishes are delicious, but I thought I would eat something I don't usually eat here, so I chose the Okinawan Cuisine classic taco rice. It is served in about 5 minutes after ordering. . . As is customary, please refer to the photo for details, but the exterior with plenty of cheese sprinkled on it is very attractive, just like the signboard. . . The balance between the red of the tomatoes, the green of the vegetables, and the yellow of the cheese is really nice. . . Let's have it right away. . . ``Yeah! This is good too...'' Personally, I love the spicy taco rice. . . The spiced minced meat, the sourness of the tomatoes, and the crunch of the vegetables are truly delicious. . . Plenty of cheese brings the whole thing together and creates a sense of volume. . . Sprinkle Koregusu, a table-top Okinawan seasoning, for a refreshing spiciness. . . This also goes perfectly with beer. . . The portions were very filling and it was a very fulfilling lunch. . . Well, this time I used the food for lunch, but I was able to confirm that the food was also very delicious. . . Okinawa Soba that I had at night was delicious, so next time I might have a light snack from lunch and end with soki soba, which would be a good course. . . In any case, I think it's a really nice restaurant both day and night, so I'd like to continue to use it regularly. Thank you for the meal. *I have also uploaded photos that I used on another day.

北千住駅西口から徒歩５～６分。。。ほんちょう通り沿いにある沖縄料理のお店です。
サイトによると開店は2022年とのことですが、恥ずかしながらお店の存在自体を知りませんでしった。。。

　訪問のきっかけはいつものように地元の飲み仲間と約束もなく合流。。。どっかで飯でもいくかという流れでオッサン数人で利用しました。

　とある平日の20時過ぎに入店。。。コロナ禍も落ち着き人出もだいぶ戻ってきたようで、飲み横界隈のめぼしいお店はどこも満席。。。ふらふらと流れてこちらのお店に辿り着きました。
　元々は日本料理のお店だったかと思いますが、カウンター席の奥に結構な数の個室があり、すんなり入店できました。

【オーダー内容】
・ オリオンIPA

　ビールや焼酎類に加えて泡盛の種類は豊富ですが、乾杯はまずビールから。。。初めて見るオリオンビールのIPAを所望します。。。
　南国系のさっぱりした飲みごたえが沖縄の空気にぴったりな印象でしたが、IPAはしっかり苦いもののやはり後味あわやかな印象です。

　お通しにはモズク酢が付きますが、出汁がニンニクの風味が効いて実に美味。。。さっぱり感だけなく、しっかりお酒が進む味わいです。
　ここからは各自お好みで食べたいものを注文する我儘スタイルｗｗ、簡単に印象を記載しお茶を濁させていただきますｗｗ

・ にんじんシリシリ（480円）

　人参消費量日本一を誇る沖縄県の家庭料理。。。“シリシリ器”（大きな付き穴のおろし金）でおろした人参を炒めて卵でとじたものですが、ほくほくした人参の甘さと出汁の効いた炒り卵の味わいが抜群。。。お酒のつまみによく合います。

・ 新鮮海ぶどう（650円）

　個人的な大好物です。ぷちぷちした食感とさっぱりした味付けが大好きなんですが、やはり現地で食べるものとは新鮮さが違い、がっかりすることも多かったのですがここのは非常に新鮮でよかった。。。

・ ミミガー塩ユッケ（480円）

　沖縄といえば豚料理の種類も豊富。。。鳴き声以外全て食べるというだけのこともあり、耳の肉の燻製はコリコリした歯ごたえとコラーゲン豊富さ故人気ですが、こちらは軽く塩で味付け。。。玉子絡めてユッケ風にいただくスタイル。。。当然お酒ともよく合います。

・ とうふよう（580円）

　これも沖縄を代表する珍味。。。島豆腐を泡盛で漬け込んだ酒のつまみ。。。独特の風味は好き嫌いが分かれますが、わたしはこれが大好き。。。泡盛のお供には欠かせません。

・ ラフテー（950円）

　こちらの詳細は写真を参照いただきたいところですが、単なる肉塊ではなく、皮付きの三枚肉をトロトロになるまで煮込んだ味わいは本当に絶品。。。ぜひ試してほしい味わいです。

・ ゴーヤチャンプルー（830円）

　沖縄料理の定番中の定番。。。ゴーヤの分量が多いのか、緑色が強い気がします。。。
定番の味わいですが、やはりいいですね。。。

・ 島らっきょと茗荷のおかか和え（880円）

　現地食材の島らっきょをうまく使った一品。。。軽めの味わいですが、お酒によく合いますね。。。茗荷のさっぱりした風味とおかかが癖のある島らっきょとマッチして実に美味しいです。

・ 沖縄カーリーポテト(650円)

　くるんくるんの形状が特徴的なフライドポテトですが、非常にスパイシーな味付けが通常のものとは一味違う旨さ。。。アメリカ文化圏の影響を色濃く見せるこれも沖縄独特の味わいです。

・ フーチャンプルー（750円）

　チャンプルー系の定番ですが、玉子とお麩がよく絡まり実にいい味わい。。。フワフワ食感もたまりませんね。。。

　この間に泡盛を数種類いただいておりますが、飲み過ぎですっかり記憶も薄く。。。銘柄までは記憶できてませんが、どれも美味しかったことを記載させていただきます。。

　さて、初めての訪問でしたが、結果から言えば大当たりといえるお店でした。沖縄料理店も一時期ブームとなったせいか、どこでも食べられる感がありますが、こちらはきちんとしたルートがあるようで、現地食材やお酒の量、質ともに千住の街ではこれまでなかったお店だと思いました。
　ソーキそばなどもあるようですので、もうちょっとお酒も料理も控え目にして、〆にいただくのも良さそうですね。。。

　今回は大人数で伺いましたが、カウンター席もあり、お一人様でも利用できそうですので、沖縄料理が食べたい日などは積極的に利用したいと思います。
