ＪＲ常磐緩行線亀有駅南口を出て、亀有新道・亀有中央商店街を進んでいき、左手に肉のハナマサが見えた、次の交差点を左折したところにお店を構えます鰻料理店『割烹 川亀』さん、本格の鰻料理を楽しめそうなお店であります。
「うな重・大関」（税込4,000円）をオーダーしました。ちなみにうな重→上→特上→大関→横綱→名横綱…と昇進（？）していきます。本など読みながら暢気に待つのが得策です。待つこと３０分程度、まぁ、この程度の調理時間がかかってこそ、鰻料理といえるでしょう。（ほとんどのお店は、忙しい現代人向けに、先に仕込みをしておき、最後のタレ焼きだけやって出すのですから、時間は１０分程度に短縮されています。）
さて、じっくり待ってやってきた鰻重は、やや甘めのタレに覆われており、山椒との相性も最高でした。鰻の肝は煮物で出て来て、吸い物には入っていませんでした。ちょっと不思議な仕上げ方です。香の物がたっぷり出てきたのは嬉しかったですね。食後には柚子のアイスがサービスされました。
