西国分寺のスプーンは行きやすく良く行くのに、国分寺の方はちょっとだけ駅より遠くてその分若干疎遠になっている傾向がある気がする。でも、どちらが美味いかなどと野暮な事は言わず、純粋に一軒のレストランとして考えた場合、自分はこの店のカレーがすきなんだと思う。やや辛めでスパイシーではあるが、文字通り“中辛”として抑えた辛さが特徴的で、非常に食べやすくて美味い。今回、カレールーの増量を初めてお願いしてみた。見た目、まるで一面のカレーの海に浮かんだ小さなごはんの小島を見ているようだ。結局、ごはんも追加となってしまったが、まさに『カレーは飲み物』、なんの苦もなく食べ切ってしまった。また、ご飯の上に乗った具材との組み合わせも楽しい。今回は牛タンカレー、非常に柔らかくなるまで煮込まれた牛タンとほうれん草が、存在感を完璧に消してカレーに溶け込んでおり、カレーの食べ応え感が増した気がする。結局、どれだけのカレーを胃袋にぶち込んだか計り知れないが、十分にカレーを堪能したのはほぼ間違いない。最後に一気飲みしたマンゴーラッシー、マンゴーの実の酸味が実に爽やかだった。是非、再訪したいと思う。ご馳走様でした。
