【サハラ/谷保】インド料理でちょい飲み！

「こすぎ畑」で鱈腹飲み食いしたはずが、ちょっと小腹が空いてきた。
そこで、今月オープンしたばかりの「サハラ」へ寄ってみることに。
店に入ると先客が数名。私は4人掛け席へ座ってメニューを物色。
そして、ビールセットの中からパパドセット[430円]を注文。
程なくして生ビール、お通し、パパドセットが運ばれてきた。
今日のお通しは、茹でたもやしをごま油で和えて七味をかけたもの。
生ビール(キリン)をグビッと飲んで、お通しを頂く。うん、美味しい。
お次は、瓦せんべいを思いっきり薄くしたような見た目のパパド。
食感はカリッ。エビのような香りと、スパイシーなクミンの香り。
ほどよい塩加減だし、こちらもビールのおつまみとしては最高。
ちなみにお通しは無料。この内容で430円は思いっきり安い。
カレーのメニューも豊富だし、今度はランチで訪れてみたい。

コインランドリーでの洗濯の合間、小腹が空いたので近くの「サハラ」を訪問。カレーを食べるほどの空き方ではなかったので、生ビールセットを頼むことに。選んだのはチキンティッカセット580円(税抜き)
店員さんが水とスープを運んできたタイミングでセットを注文。ビールを待つ間、スープを頂く。玉ねぎメインのオニオンスープのようだ。ジョッキビールが来たので、そいつを呑んでいると「サービスです」ということで、えびせんと、小麦の生地を薄焼きにしたスパイシーなスナックが供される。これがビールのつまみに最高。
ビールを半分くらい飲んだ頃、チキンティッカが運ばれてきた。まずはそいつを一口。真っ赤な見た目とは裏腹に、辛さはほどんど感じられない。テーブルに置いてあったチリペッパーを振りかけて、ようやくピリ辛になったチキンをもう一口。部位はもも肉。これがまた柔らかくて旨い…と言った具合にビールもチキンもなくなったので、クレジットカードでお勘定を済ませてお店をあとに。
こちらのお店は、とにかくサービス精神旺盛で、料理も言うことない。今度はカレーを食べに来ようかな。どうもご馳走様でした！
