京王桜ヶ丘ショッピングセンターのＢ館４階「カフェココナッツ」桃とシャンパンのムース＋コーヒーをいただきました。
日曜日の１５時過ぎ、京王ＳＣは大混雑！とりあえず一息つきたい、と逃げこむようにこちらのお店を訪れました。ショッピングセンター内、しかも４階は主に婦人物のフロアとあって、カフェも女性がほとんど。ただ、お店全体が黒中心の落ち着いた色なので、男性でも浮くことはありません。
満員で店員さも忙しそうで、テーブルを用意いただき「注文お決まりの頃に参ります」と告げられたきり、オーダを取りに来てくれない(^^; まあ、ここは気長に待ちましょう。そのかわり、メニューをじっくり眺めます。パニーニやカレーも美味しそう。ですが、ティータイムなのでケーキをオーダしました。
さすがにオーダしてからは手際がよく、しばらくするとサイフォンを手にした店員さんが目の間でカップに注いでくれ、「コーヒーに合う」というチョコレートが添えられました。特に何かが突出していないバランスのいいコーヒーをすすっていると、ケーキ登場。季節柄、桃とシャンパンのムースです。繊細な味ではありませんが、甘さにキレがあってしつこくありません。コーヒー同様、安心していただける味です。
オーダーまでが時間がかかったものの、それ以外の接客は基本的にていねいで、好印象でした。ちょっと一息、というよりは、もう少し腰をすえてゆっくりおしゃべりに興じるのにいいお店かと感じました。実際、私の回りのお客様は、ほとんどの方が私の滞在時間中ずっとおしゃべりをされてましたから。。ごちそうさまでした。
