多摩センターにある「焼売のジョー」で、焼売ランチ730円を食べた。京王、小田急の駅から多摩モノレールの駅に通じる通路にある居酒屋。昼は定食をやっているようだが、数あるメニューの中で焼売付きはこの一種類しかない不思議さがある。
焼売は大きなものが4個で、セイロに入っている。ミンチのような餡で固形物は入っていないので、肉焼売と呼べば良さそうだ。注文してからすぐに定食が運ばれてきたので、いちから蒸したのではなさそう。やや柔らかで蒸し過ぎのような出来であり、もう少し固めに仕上がっている方が美味しいだろう。これに揚げ春巻き、味噌汁、しば漬け、シーチキン入りポテサラが付くので、定食の体は成している。
焼売居酒屋のランチということで期待値が上がったが、柔らかな出来に残念さを感じた。
