Dinner on Saturday, June 17, 2023. With my partner. Work in Murayama in the afternoon. For dinner, get off on the Seibu Line. Today I went to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Tanashi. When I went there last month, it was full and I couldn't get in, so I called before going to secure a seat before heading over. At 6:25 p.m., the restaurant was nearly full. Everyone was talking loudly and it was very lively. I took a seat at a table near the entrance and ordered a draft beer. During service hours until 8pm, draft beer (medium) will be priced at 320 yen (352 yen including tax) instead of the usual 470 yen (517 yen including tax). Your eyes turn into hearts (lol). It's always a heart (laughs). We ordered the sashimi shime mackerel (530 yen, 583 yen including tax), the a la carte dish stew with offal (380 yen, 418 yen including tax), Grilled skewer yakitori platter of 5 types (6 pieces) (680 yen, 748 yen including tax), and Fried food I ordered the fried corned beef (430 yen, 473 yen including tax) and the piping hot cheese maitake (480 yen, 528 yen including tax). I don't think the food is good enough. Shimesaba was quite salty. The stew with offal was a little harsh. The fried corned beef was the most delicious. The 5-piece yakitori set (6 pieces) includes 2 thighs, liver, gizzard, chicken skin, and meatballs. When I said I would leave the choice of sauce or salt to them, the thighs, meatballs, and liver were served with sauce, and the chicken skin and gizzard were served with salt. Hmm, maybe two now. The stir-fried cheese and maitake mushrooms also turned out to be less than expected. There was a TV monitor in the store and Tetsuko Kuroyanagi was on it, so I could barely hear the audio, but I followed the subtitles on the screen and enjoyed the program. I think that will be my fondest memory of this store (lol). The two of us drank maybe 5 draft beers and the bill was 4,840 yen. I think it's a good place to drink cheaply. That’s it (lol).
