I had some business in Kiyose today. I was thinking of going to Ikebukuro for lunch afterwards, when I found an advertisement for this restaurant on a bulletin board in the station. I decided to go here because I wouldn't have many opportunities to eat in Kiyose. It was a little after 2pm, and a group of high school students just came out. The prices didn't seem to be that expensive. When I went in, there was a fairly large space, with tables for 2 and 4 people lined up. There were two groups of 2 female customers and 1 male. It seemed to be past peak time and they were relaxed. There was a notice on the wall about the price increase of the takeaway menu. Well, that can't be helped. I was shown to my seat and glanced at the menu. Most places have the same lineup, and today I had spinach curry with saag mutton for 850 yen. I was told that I could have one refill of naan or rice. I chose the second spiciest level, and my drink was mango lassi as usual. The interior of the restaurant was decorated in a simple Indian style, but it was simple. I didn't have to wait long for my salad and drink, and a little later my large naan and curry arrived. It's saag curry, so it's a deep green color. I took a bite of the naan, which was firm in the center and very crispy around the edges. Although I ordered the spicy curry, it was only slightly spicy, so I didn't feel overwhelmed. The unique aroma of spinach and the occasional crunchy spices. Delicious. After eating for a while, the paste-like part disappeared, and what remained were chunks of mutton meat. This one also had a crunchy meaty taste and was delicious. I ordered a second naan, which was the same size and hot. I finished with just two pieces of naan and a little curry left. It's a curry restaurant that you can find in Tokyo and other places, but for people from Kiyose, it must be a place where they feel at home. When I left, it was past 3pm and the restaurant was on break.
