[2023/11/08] Lunch in Tachikawa. I couldn't think of anything I wanted to eat for lunch, so I decided to go for "Indian Curry", which was on my mind. I just found an Indian Cuisine called "Sarvan" in Tachikawa the other day. When I went down to the basement and entered the restaurant, there were two groups of customers (two people). They left shortly after, but I forgot that I am the woman who attracts customers. Even though it was already 2pm, three groups of customers (three people) came in one after another. This time I chose the "Daily Curry Lunch Set" from the lunch menu. With the ladies' set, you can choose two types of curry, but with the daily curry lunch, one type is fixed and changes daily, and the other type can be chosen as your favorite curry. The daily curry was sag baygan (spinach and eggplant), which was exactly what I liked, so I chose the daily curry lunch. First, a drink. There was iced chai, so I tried that. This has a more refreshing aroma of spices than lassi. The set arrived. I chose the mutton curry. I chose the naan and rice. It was small but came with chicken, so it was a good deal for 1000 yen. By the way, you can choose cheese naan for an additional 250 yen, and a refill of naan is 150 yen. The naan is fluffy and has a plain taste with a moderate sweetness and saltiness. This way you can taste the curry as it is. The mutton curry had no smell and was soft and delicious. But more than anything, the daily sag baigan was delicious! It had a light taste like the dal soup in dal bhat, but the garlic had a punch, and I devoured it more like a side dish or soup than a curry. (lol) Speaking of Tachikawa, there are many Ramen shops and Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurants (or rather, they are crowded together), but it seems that there are also quite a few good Indian Curry restaurants.
