2021年9月18日（土）昼食。
台風14号接近中。朝は雨、この時間はやんでいたが、午後村山に行くことにして、ランチは立川で。南口に出て、立川南通りを西に歩いて行ったが、目的の店は休みだった。立川南通りと諏訪通りが交差する柴崎町二丁目の交差点に立つと、諏訪通りの南の方にカレーの看板が見えたので、店の前まで行ってみると営業していたので、入ってみた。昨日もカレー、今日もカレー（笑）。
12時36分で、先客は2組。奥のカウンター席へ。ランチタイムはカレーランチ（980円）のみで、カレーを5種類の中から選ぶ。チキン＆タマゴを選んだ。飲み物は紅茶をアイスで頼んだ。
看板に「呑めるカレー屋」とあるのだが、夜のメニューを見るとつまみが充実しているので、それは夜は酒が飲める店という意味であって、飲むように流し込めるカレーの店という意味ではないらしい。もちろん今は酒は出していないだろうが。店内にはサーフボードが飾ってある。ボンガというのは有名サーフライダーの名前らしい。
やがて出てきたそのカレーは、出汁の風味を強く感じる。それとココナッツミルク。あとレモングラス。そのほかいろいろなスパイスとハーブ。具はふわふわの玉子。プーパッポンのチキンふうという感じ。チキンは普通だった。でもなかなかおいしいカレー。ライスは玄米入りなので、飲むのではなくて良く噛まないといけないが。デザートにミルクプリンが出てくるのだが、それもとてもおいしかった。
立川は駅前こそ仙台みたいになってしまったが、この柴崎二丁目の交差点まで来ると昔の立川みたいな風景が広がっていて、何だか懐かしく、好ましく感じた。
