日野駅改札を出て右手、東側すぐにある。
朝7時オープン。
ほっかほか亭の創業者の一人が
92年に創業したフレッシュネスも
幾つかの変遷後、
今はコロワイドグループ傘下。
かつての印象は、
全面喫煙可で、外人客も多く、酒が呑める、アーリーアメリカンな店というイメージ。
ようやく最近完全分煙も進み、
メニューは積極的に見直され、
朝からじいさん達の憩いの場になったというイメージ。
モーニングメニューも随分更新される。
かつてはポップオーバーモーニングがあり、

今はどちらも廃番メニュー。
で、
「パウンドケーキモーニング」（367円）
を
バナナケーキ
と
ローズヒップティ
でお願いする。
パウンドケーキは温めてもらってから、
受け取り、
2階に上がる。
丁度高架の日野駅のホームが見え、
中央線快速や特急あずさを眺めながらいただく。
ローズヒップティのベリーの酸味は結構お気に入り。
バナナケーキは思ったほど甘くなく、
朝の小腹を満たし、
脳にブドウ糖を循環し始めるには丁度いい量。
アイランドで分別してご馳走さん。
