「幸楽 大和田店」はＪＲ中央線の八王子駅北口から北東に歩いて１．６ｋｍほど、国道１６号と国道２０号の交わる交差点から北西側のマンション１階にある中華料理店です。
店は年配のおばちゃんが１人で何から何までこなします。以前は八王子市子安町で３年、大和田町の八幡神社近くで３６年、ここの場所で１２年目とうかがいました。
お店に着いたのは１３時ちょっと前で店内の先客は１人だけ、店内奥のテーブル席に座り注文したのは冷し中華そば８００円です。
ほどなく出てきた冷し中華は中華模様のお皿にハム・玉子焼き・ナルト・胡瓜でお皿の縁には紅生姜と黄色のカラシ、真ん中には刻み海苔パラパラトッピング。
「麺は少し緩めに茹で上げたから、つゆがあまり吸われない内に混ぜて食べてみて」と云われ、混ぜて食べると意外にしっかりとコシのある麺で期待以上にいい味わいがする。
食べ終わってつゆを残すとおばちゃんから「 just moment 」と云われ… 曰く、「ウチのお酢は東京都江東区の横井醸造のお酢なのよ、お冷やの水で割って呑むとおいしいの」とすすめられた。なるほど、２倍くらいに割って飲んだら結構いける。冷し中華のつゆを水割りにして飲んだのは初めてだったがこれはいい、癖になりそうだ。
