On New Year's Day, my son wanted to go to Tenkaippin (Ramen), so we went to Hachioji Station. I expected that the chain restaurants would be open on New Year's Day, but they were closed, which was disappointing. The station building was also closed on New Year's Day, and the only restaurants open were a certain Family restaurant and a certain Hamburger chain. Pork Cutlet lover, I asked my son for permission to go to Matsunoya, but even though the restaurant was open, it was unexpectedly full... After discussing it with my son, we decided that our first meal out of the new year would be at Matsuya. We ordered a double pork ginger set meal for 1,130 yen from the ticket machine. Even though it was double meat, it takes courage to order a menu that costs over 1,000 yen at Matsuya. The restaurant was fairly crowded, but we were able to sit down without waiting. It arrived in about 7 to 8 minutes. The double meat was quite filling. It came with mayonnaise (I don't like it, so I gave it to my son). The ginger pork has a strong flavor and goes well with rice. If you add the pickled ginger from the counter, you won't be able to stop eating rice. The meat was a little overcooked and dry, but it was full. On New Year's Day, my son and I went to Matsuya for junk food. It was a fun memory.
