On the third day of my stay in Yonago, the weather was so bad that I didn't feel comfortable going outside, so I remembered the guest-only menu posted on the elevator and had dinner at the hotel's Japanese Cuisine. I called in the afternoon to check availability and make a reservation, and entered the restaurant at 5pm when the evening session started. The interior, the view of the garden, and the fact that it opens early on weekdays, so there are no other customers, so you can immerse yourself in a quiet Japanese world. In addition to the Hokikoku Gozen meal that I had mentioned when I called to make a reservation, I ordered two dishes made with local ingredients. I knew about Oyamadori because it was on the breakfast All-you-can-eat buffet, but I had no idea about Shirayuki Flounder. When I looked it up on the internet, I found out that ``Shirayuki flounder was born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture. By cultivating it on land using underground seawater, it is less susceptible to parasites such as Kudoa, so you can safely eat it raw.'' As someone who loves white flounder, I couldn't leave Yonago without eating it, so I made an immediate decision. In addition, guests can enjoy a cold glass of local sake Kumezakura as a one-drink service. You can get a 10% discount on the total price with ANA shareholder coupons, so it feels like a great deal. After taking a breather while looking out at the garden, the Hokikoku Gozen meal was served in no time. Maybe it's because I ordered it when I made the reservation. I was a little surprised. It looks gorgeous. As you might expect, the restaurant caters to local ceremonial occasions and entertainment guests, so it's a no-brainer. I took pictures and started eating without waiting for additional orders. First, let's have a drink of sake. My first Kume cherry tree. Very easy to drink. In addition to the appearance and the balance of ingredients, the gozen seems to have a good nutritional balance, with plenty of vegetables. This is quite important when eating alone rather than entertaining guests. Of course, the taste is also perfect. As I continued eating with satisfaction, two additional dishes were served. I was surprised by the size and quantity of the Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) flounder, which I was looking forward to, as well as the Yakitori Oyamadori. 660 yen including tax for 3 skewers of large chicken. Unprecedented prices for a high-end Japanese Cuisine. Occasionally, you'll find an extremely high-cost menu at a high-end Restaurants that will make you scratch your head, and it feels like you've just come across one. Of course, the taste is at the level of a high-end Japanese Cuisine restaurant. It seems that the presence of Shirayuki Flounder, which was delicious enough, has faded. The meal ended elegantly with a dessert of water sweets. Feeling slightly intoxicated by the sake, I left the restaurant and went to my room within 2 minutes. I was able to spend a lot of time after dinner before going to bed, which made me realize once again how good the hotel Restaurants is.
