Happy New Year 2022 Osechi cuisine review. This time I ordered "Osechi" from a restaurant in Toyama, so I will review it. I ordered Osechi cuisine in exchange for airline mileage (10,000 miles). Every year, I went on many overseas and domestic trips, but for the past two years, I have been living a life without airplanes. I was thinking of exchanging them for free air tickets someday and going on a trip, but it seems difficult to travel for the time being, so I decided to exchange some of my miles for Osechi and wine this winter. I chose this Toyama restaurant for Osechi. The Osechi cuisine arrived on December 29th by frozen delivery service. If you carefully defrost it as instructed, a magnificent Osechi cuisine will appear. The Osechi is three-tiered, consisting of "Ichi-no-ju", "Ni-no-ju", and "San-no-ju". I looked at the restaurant's website, but they didn't sell the same thing, so I think it's an Osechi exclusively for airline mileage. There are nearly 40 types of dishes lined up for three people. The black beans are dusted with gold powder, and the dish includes herring roe, a standard New Year's dish, and the luxurious abalone simmered in ginger, but the subtle side dishes, such as Matsukaze raisins with truffles, okra dressed with sesame seeds, cream cheese with figs, and chestnut paste with the skin on, are also memorable and delicious. I'm amazed at the progress of freezing technology, and that we can eat all of these things at home. The taste is mild for New Year's food, but I still feel a little thirsty after eating. There is also a paper with a list of the dishes, which clearly lists the seasonings (amino acids, etc.), pH adjusters, colorings, and preservatives, and I would like to commend them for their honest attitude. It's not so bad to relax at home during New Year's.
