Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) near Toyama Station. However, I didn't have a chance to go there because it's a little far from the station on the north exit side and there aren't any big facilities nearby, but this was my first visit. There will be room for about 30 people at the counter and table seats. Since it was a weekend, the restaurant was crowded and almost full. The menu includes many of the standard Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) menu items, as well as sake and food from the Aizu region, and there are many seasonal and daily specials, so it's no wonder it's so popular. I was told that you can eat horse sashimi, which is a specialty of Aizu but not often available in Toyama, so I chose horse sashimi. We also ordered yakitori, fried Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), Tempura, grilled fish, and other standard Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) menu items. All the dishes are delicious. I don't usually eat horse sashimi, but the fresh, red and proteiny taste makes it very easy to eat. I only ordered beer or shochu, but they have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages. It was a wonderful restaurant where you could also try seasonal dishes such as saury fish and seasonal vegetable tempura. It seemed a little difficult to get to because it was located a little far from the downtown area, but it turned out to be a popular restaurant.
