A relatively new Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that opened in March 2022 in Shintomicho, Toyama. It is a sister store of the famous brewery "Joseya" in Sakuramachi, Toyama City, and is written as "Kate" (pronounced as "Kudan"). We made a reservation for a private room for five people and visited for the first time at 5:30 p.m., right after the restaurant opened on weekdays. I made a reservation for the 4,400 yen all-you-can-drink course for 2,200 yen, and was asked to leave the restaurant at 8 p.m. The store has a nice atmosphere both inside and outside. The private room wasn't particularly large, but there was enough space for 6 people, and above all, it was comfortable and I didn't have to worry about being overheard. All the meals were delicious, but unfortunately the portions were small. The all-you-can-drink menu had a wide selection of sake, and everyone was very satisfied after sampling the local sake. I don't think there are many all-you-can-drink restaurants that offer seven or eight brands of sake of this quality. Many of the dishes were carefully selected, especially the sake containers, which were stylish and made me feel good. If you have the budget, it might be better to just ask for the restaurant's recommendations instead of choosing a course.
