AL BARAKA used to be HAMZA which used to be DIL. It is located in Imizu city, and most importantly, it is apparently the preferred restaurant of choice for local Pakistanis. This I know because I asked Pakistanis in Toyama which is their favorite restaurant, and AL BARAKA always comes up. The interior is quite cozy and nice. The staff is friendly and all smiles! The food was really good. So we were told that Pakistanis usually order Chicken Mandi, Nehari, or Chicken/Mutton Karahi. Other usual "Indian" dishes are also available. We ordered the Chicken Mandi (Fried chicken on Rice with Tamarind chutney and Mint chutney), the Daal Tarka/Tadka (North Indian chickpea curry with naan), and the Mixed Kebab Plate (Tikka, Tandoori, Kebab). The Chicken Mandi was fried crunchy outside and juicy tender inside. There's a lot rice, though. The Daal Tarka/Tadka was amazing! Tasty and flavorful! One naan may not be enough to soak up all this deliciousness. (Garlic, Cheese, Keema naan available) And the tikka, tandoori, kebabs were juicy and well-flavored. This is easily one of my favorite South Asian restaurant in Toyama!
富山のトップの南アジア料理屋の一つです。地元のパキスタン人は勧めています。チキンマンディの鶏肉はクリスピーだしジューシーです。ダル(豆カレー)はすごく美味しかったです。ナーン一つは足りないかもしりません。ティカ、タンドリー、ケバブはジューシーでした。ここはとても勧めします。
