今回の「和歌山旅行」一泊目は珍しくイタリアン。
ホテルの中にあるイタリアンで、その名も、「カーロ・エ・カーラ」
そうですねぇ〜訳したら、「愛しい人たち」って感じでしょうかね。
caroは愛する、親愛なると言う意味の形容詞で、語尾がoとaになって、男性形、女性形になってるので・・・
ただ、形容詞caroには、高い、高価な、高くつく。
って言う意味もあって、まぁその名の通りかなと言う感じです。
まずもって、味はというと、ほんとーーーに
フツーです。
別に不味くはありません。
ちゃんとしたイタリアンでした。
値段の割には良かったかもって感じです。
だけど、なんだろ。
地元の食材を使った。
って感じはしなかったなぁ〜。
プリフィックスコースで、
パスタ、魚料理、肉料理をそれぞれ一品ずつチョイスできて、それにオードブルと、スープ、デザート、コーヒーがつきます。
値段は5500円。

これがねぇ〜。
冷凍物
って感じで、カニの身が情けないぐらいパサパサだった。
ダンナは、鮭のクリームソースのブカティーニ
スカンピのグリル。一匹だけかよっって感じ。
ダンナはアクアパッツァ（プラス1500円）
お肉料理は、パイ包み焼きだったんですが、この写真で2人分・・・
あとはデザートのズコット
味は不味くなかったです。
だけどなんだろ・・・
圧倒的に量が少なかったのと、あとは、まるで
ちょっと高級なファミリーレストラン
みたいな味でした。
見た目だけは上手に作ってある。って感じ。
オープンキッチンになっていて、
解凍じゃなく、一応調理してる風ではあったけれど、だけど、これを食べるためにもう一回来たい！
って思わせるものはなかったですね。
ファミリー向けのイタリアンだとしたら、コストパフォーマンス的にサイゼリアのほうがずっと上。
２人でワインを入れて、18000円ほどでしたが、あの料理で、ホテルのイタリアンを名乗るのは、かなり恥ずかしい腕前と思います。日本でフレンチをかじった人がイタリアンをやってるんじゃないかなぁ〜。鮭とタマネギのブカティーニなんてちょっと信じられない。
まぁ、さすがにホテルだけあって、サービスは悪くなかったですけれど、ほんと料理はもうちょっと研究の余地アリです。
だってせっかく和歌山なんですよ。目の前が海なんだから、海の幸を生かしたもっと新鮮で、斬新なイタリアンを期待します。
