和歌山市のホテルグランヴィアの1Fにあるカフェ。
ホテルの朝食会場も兼ねているらしい。
飲食スペースはそれなりにあるが、グランヴィアにしては狭く感じる。和歌山のグランヴィア自体そう大きな規模ではない、という事もあるらしい。
市内屈指のホテルとあって、接客は洗練されている。
以前はグランヴィアの本館の外にパスワードⅡというパン・洋菓子の販売店があったが、駐車場の出入り口を設ける為か、取り壊されたらしく、跡形も無い。
おさつキャラメルは、ケーキの1種。
ホテルの専属パティシエによるもの。
ダイスカットしたサツマイモに焼き芋クリームを被せ、キャラメルムースで覆い、グラサージュキャラメル（キャラメルソース）で更に覆い、カットしたサツマイモとピスタチオをトッピングし、サツマイモチップを周りにあしらっている。
サツマイモをふんだんに利用した、秋らしいケーキ。
サツマイモの自然の甘さと、塩味を利かせたキャラメルのバランスが非常に良い。
中のダイスカットしたサツマイモはシャキシャキしていた。最近はとろける食感のサツマイモが何卒もてはやされ、主流になっているので、この食感のサツマイモは久し振りに味わった気分。自分としてはどちらも美味しい。
入り口ではパフェを大々的に掲げていたので、それを目当てに入店したが、いざ注文しようとしたら「期間限定商品で、提供は終了しています」との事だった。
だったら掲げなければいいのに、と思った。
