I unexpectedly had some free time, so I stopped by during cafe time. Located in the spacious hotel lounge, this dining area seems convenient for everything from tea time to lunch and bar time. When you sit down and open the menu, there is a large announcement about Daiginjo coffee. Without reading carefully, I thought that Daiginjo must be delicious, and when I ordered it, I was told that it was not Daiginjo, but Daiginjuku. It is called Daiginju because the coffee beans are aged in a rice brewery for several years and then ground to preserve only the best parts, similar to Daiginjo sake. I always think about alcohol, so I was a little embarrassed to read it as Daiginjo... It was hot that day, so I had it with iced coffee. A large piece of ice is floating in a ceramic cup, giving it a somewhat dignified appearance. A pleasant cool feeling transmitted through the heavy cup. When served black, it had a mellow taste without any unpleasant taste. Gateau chocolate to accompany. This is also an original cake with a twist. A black tea brûlée covered in cacao powder and wrapped in Chocolate mousse. What a fascinating combination. I was expecting the heavy texture of regular gateau chocolate, so I was pleasantly surprised by its unexpected lightness, and enjoyed it with coffee.
