Climb Yamagata Castle (Kasumi Castle). There is only one castle left on the list of 100 famous castles in Tohoku. Since I came all the way to Yamagata, I wanted to eat Yamagata beef, so I headed to Hotel Metropolitan Yamagata's ``LaGare.'' It was lunchtime, when I was taking a breather. I took my time looking at the menu and decided to have Yamagata beef sirloin Steak sauce with mustard [assorted appetizers, soup of the day, homemade focaccia or rice, and coffee]. The soup is clam chowder. The rich cream taste is soothing. The appetizers are a variety of bites served with salads and are visually pleasing. The salad is also delicious with a strong taste of vegetables. And since it was lunch time, the main meat was served in an elegant manner.The quality of the meat was also good, and there was just the right amount of marbling. The outside is grilled crispy and the inside is juicy. The meat was delicious (I wanted another piece...) I was able to have a relaxing meal and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meat.
