山形県米沢市のべこやです。
今日は久しぶりに帰省した息子二人と、嫁さん、娘、自分の計５人で、家族旅行代わりに贅沢しようということで、米沢市に米沢牛を食べにやってきました。
数年前まで、息子が米沢の山大工学部に在籍していた関係で、段取りは息子にすべておまかせ。
選んだ店は駅前のべこやさんです。
入口には、著名人のサインが沢山貼られています。
お盆休みの繁忙期で、かなりメニューに制限はありましたが、娘以外の４人は米沢牛ランプステーキ200gセットメニューをChoiceしました。
ステーキはなんと一人前7200円。
こんなテレビでしか見たことがないような食べ物を、見るのも食べるのも今回が初めてです。
田舎もの丸出しにならぬよう、そそうのないよう、気をつけます。
焼き加減は、自分以外の３人はミディアムレア、自分はレアでお願いしました。
運ばれてきた料理は、ステーキメニューですが、和風にお箸で食べるスタイル。
気取らず気軽に食べられるのが優しいですね。
で、ランプ肉とはどこの肉でしょうか？
ググれば出てきましたが、おしりに近い部位の肉なんですね。
さて、ランプステーキを食べた感想ですが、
柔らかい、噛めば噛むほど旨味がどんどん出る感じ。
説明書きによれば「ほどよい脂、肉の柔かさ、濃厚な風味、どれをとっても優れた肉質の米沢牛。」
だそうです。
はい、その通りだと思います。
次男坊は、目を閉じて、噛みしめて噛みしめて、時間をかけて食べていました。
200gのステーキセットは、少なく見えますが、なかなかどうして、お腹に溜まり、夕方になってもあまりお腹が空かない感じでした。
米沢牛は間違いなく美味かったです。
