This restaurant is located just a short walk from Nagai Station on the Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line. It's a slightly modern Western-style building. It has an atmosphere that seems like it would be popular with young people. I visited on a Saturday night. The interior of the restaurant had a stylish atmosphere. It was a little itchy for an older man. And the young people were really excited. The menu has both Japanese and Western dishes. It's nice to be able to enjoy both. There was a wide selection of sake, mainly local. I ordered a few things that caught my eye. Salt-grilled fatty mackerel 660 yen Avocado and tomato cheese grill 630 yen Nagai-produced Yafusa eggplant pickles 418 yen Shrimp and cabbage aglio e olio 850 yen Draft beer 600 yen Naoe cedar 737 yen Super ura Masayama style 737 yen The first thing that arrived was salt-grilled fatty mackerel. It was fatty and delicious. It was a standard salt-grilled mackerel. Next, pickled eggplant and grilled cheese arrived. I wonder if the tomatoes are locally grown. They were sweet and delicious. Summer tomatoes really do have a strong umami flavor. And the eggplant was delicious, too. I actually like pickled eggplant. To finish off the meal, we had spaghetti. It was a lightly seasoned aglio e olio. As I was pretty drunk, I might have preferred something a little saltier and richer. However, when I'm sober, this level of seasoning might be better. We tried a variety of alcoholic drinks, mostly local. As you'd expect, Yamakata is a place of alcohol. The sake was delicious. Both the sake and the food were good. It was a satisfying dinner. Thank you for the meal.
