鶴岡市内・加茂水族館の見学コースを一回りした後、館内のレストラン魚匠ダイニング沖海月おきみつきので食事しました。せっかくなのでちょっと変わったものを食べてみようかと…
クラゲ御膳2,200円。加茂水族館は別名『クラゲドリーム館』と呼ばれるほどクラゲの飼育・展示に力を入れているそうです。そういうわけで、なのか、館内のレストランでは三大クラゲの食べ比べができる御膳が提供されています。1日5食限定のようです。
調理されているのは『日本三大クラゲ』といわれる、肥前クラゲ・備前クラゲ・越前クラゲ。この3種はいずれも名前に『前』の字がつくことから『三前クラゲ』とも言われるそうです。
左奥の皿に乗っている黄色っぽいものが越前クラゲのお造り、右の菱形の皿のレタスにトッピングされている茶色のものが備前クラゲ、中央のガラスの器は肥前クラゲときゅうりの梅味噌和えだそうです。写真だと判りませんが味噌汁の中にもクラゲが。
左奥、越前クラゲと同じ皿の白いものはトラフグでした。
味くらべ…うん、クラゲ自体には味がほとんどないんですよね。コリコリだったりシャキシャキだったり歯ごたえは違いましたが、これは切り方や調理方によるのかな。
クラゲの種類まで意識して食べたのは初めてです。めずらしい機会でした。…それにしても異様にローカロリーだった気がする…。
