鶴岡駅は大きな工業団地があるせいか駅の周辺にはホテルが多数あります。しかし、駅前にコンビニはなく、居酒屋は十数店ありますが、ごはんどころは少ないです。
１９時過ぎの夕食で、仕事が残っていたので、このホテルのレストラン花々亭に行きました。
店内はテーブル席に一組、カウンターに一人とガラガラです。
朝食の和洋ブッフェはイマイチで夜もこの客入りではと多少心配でしたが、夜のメニューはそれなりに品数もあり、日替わり定食が値段の割に結構豪華で良さげでしたが、結局単品で若鶏もも焼さくさくしょうゆがけと博多名物ぐるぐる皮串とごはんセット（ごはんとお味噌汁と漬物のセット）で1000円ちょっとです。若鶏もも焼は焦がしガーリックと醤油のバランスが良く、意外にジューシーで、香りも味も朝食とはうって変わっておいしかったので、驚きました。皮串は本場博多の味を知らないので何ともいえませんが、やわらかくおいしかったです。
