Every year, I travel to the crab-producing areas to eat seasonal crabs, and this was my first time in Shonai. They are trying to brand Shonai crabs, and although they are not yet well-known, their popularity is definitely increasing. Although it was a little outside of the campaign period, I decided to eat at a famous restaurant in the city. The price itself was a little high... That was my impression, but I was definitely satisfied after eating. This restaurant is probably a famous restaurant in this town, and they do a very careful job of serving each dish. The amount of crab was just amazing. It felt like how many bowls they were going to serve. Sashimi, hot pot, grilled crab, gratin, chawanmushi, steamed crab. I was full of crab. I was happy. Is it abnormal that one person could eat one crab in the hot pot? (I mean that as a compliment) The presentation of the dishes was also beautiful. It is a very high-class restaurant, but it was very filling and I was very satisfied. They have a wide selection of local sake and seasonal local Shonai sake (such as Setsubun sake at the time of my visit), so I was very satisfied.
