新幹線で新山口駅に着いたのが、お昼頃。腹ごしらえをしようと、近辺を見回すと店はあまり見当たらない。
駅前にホテルがあるので、ぶらりと立ち寄り地下に中華があるので、そこを覗く。
おっ、店内は混んでいて人気みたい。
と言うことで入店。
ランチ向けにたくさんの種類のオカズやら点心の入った「中華弁当（1500円）」が店の推しのようだが、僕はなんとなく「青椒肉絲（1200円）」が食べたくなってオーダー。
追加でライス（小）と玉子スープ（820円？だったかな）を注文。
オーダーして7〜8分後、牛肉、緑のピーマン、赤と黄色のパプリカ、竹の子、彩り綺麗な盛り付けで食欲が湧く。
ひと口食べる。期待以上のなかなかの味付け。野菜系のシャキシャキ食感と肉の柔らか食感、サッと炒めた感じが舌に伝わる。
少し油が強いのが気にはなったが、合格範囲内。
スープはたっぷり玉子とナメコなどと濃くもなく薄くもないちょうど良い塩味が美味しい。
ご飯もちゃんと美味しいのが嬉しい。たくあんをスープや青椒肉絲の口直しに合う。
たまたま入った割には当たり。
山口県に来て、いい感じでスタートで幸先よし。
